I’m John Clemons. I am the founder and principal of Clemons & Company. I believe being a CPA is much more than compliance.
I began my career with an Inc. 500 company in Albuquerque, NM called Delta Group Electronics where I served as the Controller. I moved onto becoming an auditor for a large regional CPA firm in Chicago, IL. I moved back to Albuquerque in 2001 and I have worked in various management positions with startups to fairly large corporations. In 2005, I decided to pursue my lifelong passion of owning my own business.
I have a BS in Accounting from the University of Nebraska and a Masters Degree in Accounting with emphasis in taxation from the University of New Mexico.
I am a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the New Mexico Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Institute of Management Accountants and the Institute of Internal Auditors.
